K2C Atlas

Explore the exciting animal and plant species in the K2C region.

Record species you have spotted on your property (or elsewhere within the K2C region) or simply take a look at the field guides which will help you appreciate (and identify) our unique and colourful species.

Species

Once registered – you can use the Google map and a simple template to record what you have seen. It is fun and more importantly, the information collated over time will help the conservation of species in the K2C region

The Glossy Black-Cockatoo Project is calling on land holders in the K2C region to enter positive sightings of this unique but vulnerable species of bird and also record the known location for Dropping She-Oaks - the Glossy Black Cockatoo habitat tree and vital food source.

Where would we be without bats?

Australasian Bat Society

There are 90 species of bats in Australia, some can eat their own body weight in insects in a single night, others pollinate flowering and fruiting plants, and yet most of us know very little about our amazing little neighbours.

The first Australasian Bat Night will be held on the weekend of 3-4th March, the beginning of Bat Month.
