Vertebrate Pest Control – Induction Training

South East Local Land Services, in association with Carwoola Landcare, will be conducting a training course on managing pest animals on rural properties.

The course provides information about the use of poisons (including pindone and 1080), and alternative pest animal control methods, including the RHDV-K5 virus for rabbits. The training will enable Carwoola residents to purchase and release the new RHDV-K5 virus on their properties.

The course runs for approximately 3 hours. On completion, you will receive an accreditation that will allow you to use these methods and poisons for pest animal control. This accreditation lasts for 5 years.

To register, please contact the Carwoola Landcare liaison, Megan Dixon on megan.L.dixon@gmail.com or 0418 533 646.

To contact South East Local Land Services directly about this course or any other land management issue, call 02 4842 2594 or 0427 006 344.
